Lewis Cartee, EACA Vice-President
Lewis is, to put simply, pretty awesome. :)
A 1992 graduate of The University of Georgia, Lewis moved to East Atlanta in the Spring of 2006 with his wife Debbie where the two of them raise their daughter.
Lewis’ roles with EACA have included the following:
- President: 2012, 2016-2017
- Vice President: 2010-2011 and 2015
- Communication Committee Chair: 2010-2011
- Education Committee Chair: 2013-2015, 2017
- Parents Network Committee Chair: 2013
Outside of EACA Lewis served as the Local School Council Chair at Burgess-Peterson Academy Elementary School (BPA) from 2013-2016 prior to Atlanta Public Schools transitioning to a Charter System where Lewis was elected as the Governance Team Chair for BPA in 2016 until present. In addition, Lewis represents BPA on the Jackson Cluster Advisory Team and is the Education Chair for NPU-W.

This committee focuses on communicating with all of the East Atlanta residents via newsletters, social media, and other means of communicating.
The Community Outreach committee focuses on helping and reaching out to fellow East Atlantans.
This committee is involved with the transportation-related matters that affect East Atlanta whether it's public transport or roads.
This committee focuses on members and all things membership-related.
