Nancy is originally from Central New York, moved to Atlanta in 1991 to fly south from the cold winters. She worked for GE Capital Credit from 1992 to 2011 in a variety of roles, since then she has moved into a role as a Judicial Assistant for a Judge with the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
Nancy has lived in various intown neighborhoods of Atlanta for the past 25 years as a resident, with the last move to East Atlanta Village in 2001.
Nancy became involved with Neighbor in Need in 2010 which is managed by many neighbors on May Avenue. As an active member of Neighbor in Need, Nancy provides counsel and support in many initiatives as project management and fundraising. Nancy has taken a lead role in some of the fundraisers including the May on May Block Party, NIN Community Yard Sale, and 2x lead for a holiday party benefit with Neighbor in Need as the charity beneficiary, amongst many others.
Neighbor in Need is a wonderful group to work with to benefit assisting our seniors in East Atlanta who have helped build and maintain our area for years is truly rewarding. She thinks of residents as a family member and tries to do everything to help make sure their needs are met.
Nancy also volunteers on EACA and EAV events such as the EAB Festival, EAV Strut, EAV Santa Fest, and other initiatives as opportunity arises. When not busy with work or volunteering, Nancy can be found at Village Fitness.
Nancy is married and proud mama to a Black Lab Cash (A Girl Named Johnny) which was found on Newton around 7 years ago. We love East Atlanta and the wonderful network of friends that we have made. EAV is a wonderful community that we are proud to call home.
