It's time again for our Spring Poker Tournament! Come join the fun to win great prizes and support a great charity, Neighbor in Need of East Atlanta. This is the 8th year Neighbor in Need raising money to support our cause with a fun day at the table playing for a good purpose.
Our goal of taking back the urban forest from the grip of non-native, invasive weeds came one-day closer to reality on Saturday, November 11th, when 12 volunteers form Trees Atlanta and EACA neighbors gathered in the forested south-side of Brownwood Park.
"The Greatest Show in EAV" was a spectacular evening filled with an abundance of delicious food and cocktails, lively music, and sparkling talent that lit up the Big Tent. Occasions such as this demonstrate the genuine sense of community in East Atlanta, and we thank you for your dedication and support to a worthy charity such as Neighbor in Need.
Community Farmers Markets (CFM) will be hosting its inaugural Red Clay Soirée fundraising gala on Friday, November 10. This worthwhile fundraiser will not only go back into our farmers market, but also feature the Octopus Bar and honor the late East Atlanta chef Angus Brown of SoBa and Octopus Bar.
EACA has initiated contact with the appropriate city of Atlanta departments as well as partner organizations with respect to meeting several maintenance needs in Brownwood Park, to include operational security lights, paved pathway repair, and tree health and hazard inspections.

Fire breathers, fire spinners, flow artists, contortionists, strong man, dancing bear, fortune teller, tarot card reader, belly dancers, and more.
Atlanta Fulton Library System will feature art works by longtime Atlanta Public Schools Principal James Doanes. Most recently in retirement from the school system, Mr. Doanes had returned to assist both Peterson Elementary and Burgess Elementary in meeting student achievement goals and continued to consult with Burgess Peterson Academy
