Versus is EACA's July 2017 Business Partner of the Month!
Introducing EACA's July 2017 Business Partner of the Month
It’s easy to overlook special treasures in plain site. When you're headed north on Flat Shoals Ave. viewing all the eclectic businesses of East Atlanta Village, visit Versus ATL, EACA’s Featured Business of the Month for July. Located at 493 Flat Shoals Ave, Versus ATL is a combination of vintage memorabilia, streetwear, featuring a unique mix of classic with sprinkles of an urban feel, with an added little splash of suburbia chill. There’s hip hop regalia, vintage toys and memorabilia, contemporary art and clothing. Visiting Versus ATL is an East Atlanta Village experience you shouldn't ignore. My first visit I found myself having throwback feelings from my childhood; waking up Saturday morning to a box of Wheaties cereal with Michael Jordan on the box - which is sold there.
Versus ATL was started by Leo Roberts, Danny Perez, and John Humbles. It has been in East Atlanta Village for over 2 years. These 3 entrepreneurs, ranging from 23 to 28 years chose East Atlanta Village because of the look and feel, the foot traffic, community activities and an untapped market for their niche.
Along with managing the EAV location, you’ll find them at national trade shows, conventions or producing a creative pop up store. These entrepreneurs are pretty busy to say the least. Which isn't a bad look for such young entrepreneurs looking to corner “buy, trade and sale” market.
Enjoy sports? Versus ATL offers sports novelty memorabilia that ranges from the collection of vintage sports cards, equipment, to life size posters of hall of famers like Larry Bird, to a bobblehead doll of Hulk Hogan and his 21 inch pythons. Ohhhhh yeahhhh. It’s a sports collector’s sugar overload!
Want a piece of Atlanta history? Make an offer on actual seats from 1996 Summer Olympics, Olympic Pins, Banners or the classic framed Olympic Bomber Jacket.
Want to spend a nice evening at home and need entertainment? Take a trip down Memory Lane with a VHS tape of one of your favorite 80’s or 90’s classic movie. Or get your groove on with and The King of Pop on cassette.
Going out for a night of fun? Get your wear from where some of the the national Hip Hop and contemporary artists get their clothing for their movies, videos and everyday “chic”.
It's just a matter of time before customers are lining the front of Versus ATL awaiting the chance to get the newest oldie but goodie items for sale. The next time you're strolling the Village, stop by Versus. Give yourself plenty time to enjoy. Bring the family as you take a trip down memory lane check out Versus ATL. Slip in a little history lesson then treat you and the family to some unique pieces of contemporary history. Due to the “buy, sale, trade” component the inventory is constantly changing.
