Calling All East Atlanta Business Owners

East Atlanta business owners are invited to participate in the development of a new East Atlanta Business Association (EABA). The team is working alongside a consultant from IdealDESIGN who will help the them craft a development plan, outlining the purpose, priorities and goals for the East Atlanta business community.

This is a follow up email about the recreation of the East Atlanta Business Association. In the last few weeks, we had a great meeting with Jennifer Ohme to discuss the future of our organization. The meeting was made up of a number of local business owners and community leaders. I am excited to say we have decided to move forward with her consulting services through IdealDesign. 

Our PHASE 1: Discovery Meeting will be February 28th, 2019 at 6pm. 

  • What: 2-hour meeting to identify current status, plans, projects, ideas and stakeholders moving forward for each area of organization development such as fundraising, branding, chartering board members etc...

Jennifer Ohme of idealDESIGN,inc will facilitate a the Commitment, Communication and Participation process for community stakeholders that develops the priorities, purpose, participation as well as desired goals for the East Atlanta business community.   Jennifer is currently consulting with the Old Fourth Ward Business Association and West Midtown Business Alliance implementing organizational structure and initiatives based on this process. She has also facilitated this process with the Kirkwood Business Owners Association and the Georgia Goldsmith’s Group.

What to expect: Up to two hours of dynamic discussions and written input based on key factors that make a successful business community. The CCP process will be customized for our neighborhood.

What’s the product?:  From the Commitment, Communication and Participation process, a high level development plan will be presented at a follow up meeting. This development plan is a road map, direction and projected timeline for development of East Atlanta Community stakeholders who intend to review, update and choose the next steps.

Your Investment:  We ask that each interested community stakeholder invest $100 towards the Development Plan cost of $3000 (checks payable to East Atlanta Community Association, please write EABA in the memo line).
