This organization hosted its first even in Atlanta 2 years ago and has since expanded to four cities, having built over 330 websites! Now, the organization is expanding past the website and finding ways to fill the digital marketing gap for non-profits.

Show your support for the East Atlanta Community by becoming a 2019 EACA Member. The $10 yearly household membership fee goes right back to the community, funding advocacy for land use, education, and public safety policies important to East Atlanta residents. In addition, you can take advantage of membership perks offered by neighborhood businesses and vote on important issues at monthly EACA Meetings. Memberships can be processed online or in person at monthly EACA Meetings.
As EACA’s Neighbor in Need (NIN) program continues to grow, so does the need for new volunteers to assist with the program initiatives. If you are passionate about helping others and giving back to the community, you may be interested in NIN’s new volunteer roles in the areas of Corporate Responsibility, Marketing and Communications, and Safety. Want to learn more about the NIN mission and how you can help, let’s talk!
You are invited to attend EACA’s February meeting on Tuesday, February 12 at 7pm. During the meeting attendees can hear updates from EACA committees, meet the new Zone 6 APD Assistant Commander, hear about the latest development projects, details on neighborhood events, and members will vote on land use, zoning, and alcohol license applications.
Are you a business owner in East Atlanta? A team is working to re-establish East Atlanta’s Business Association (EABA), and all community business owners (home based or brick-and-mortar) are invited to participate in an upcoming development meeting on February 28.
Neighbor in Need is partnering with ASW Distillery for our first Whiskey Giveback event hosted on April 18th where a percentage of all alcohol and ASW product sales will be donated to Neighbor in Need East Atlanta! Get into the "spirit" of charity and sample some fine Atlanta whiskeys at ASW Distillery while supporting long-term, low-income neighbors in EAV.

Join EACA Parks and Greenspace Committee on Saturday, February 2nd, as we continue our partnership with Trees Atlanta's 2019 Greenspace Guardians to rescue Brownwood Park's forest form the grip of non-native invasive weeds and restore native shrubs and wildflowers.

APS Pre-K Lottery Registration for the 2019-2020 school year is open through February 8, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. The lottery drawing will be held on February 21, 2019. Learn more about the lottery process and register for the lottery.

For the second year, East Atlanta has a menorah in addition to our Christmas tree. The menorah is located at the planter at the intersection of Flat Shoals and Glenwood, near the tree. Neighbor in Need of East Atlanta helps low income seniors in the community with emergency home repairs. This holiday season, we are bring back our 2nd Annual “Neighbor in Need, Santa for Seniors.”
