Welcome to EACA 2017, Letter From the President

On January 1, 2017 by Stephanie Brown

As we welcome in the new year, EACA would like to first take a moment to thank all the residents of our community that helped our association be successful in 2016 through memberships, donations and time. Without you this organization would not be embarking on our 37th year serving the East Atlanta community.

As the primary organization representing the East Atlanta neighborhood, EACA works to increase the quality of life for those who call East Atlanta their home.  We are focused on all residents and businesses through initiatives such as Neighbor in Need, which helps seniors in need of emergency home repairs, and the Parents Network which supports building relationships among new families.  For 37 years EACA has been a voice for residents on important issues with the city such as transportation, land use and zoning and economic development as well as focusing on the quality of our park and the education of our students.

How can you help? Here are three simple ways:

By becoming an EACA member your annual household $10 membership is a token of committee to your community, and goes a long way to help cover many of the basic operational expenses EACA incurs every year.  Additionally, you will be able to vote on important matters that affect our neighborhood, and take advantage of our EACA REWARDS business benefits program.

By joining a committee, you can take an active role in shaping the future of East Atlanta.  Find a committee that fits your interests, and reach out to the chair. There are new projects being started all the time.

Have an idea of your own? Bring it to the table! It is community members like you that make change happen.

As a 501c3 non-profit organization, EACA supports many activities within our community from EAV-o-ween and the East Atlanta Village Farmers Market to the East Atlanta Strut and the EAV RunFest benefiting Burgess-Peterson Academy to Neighbor in Need and The Great American Backyard Campout.  With your help, together we can do more.
