Rest in Peace, Angus Brown of Octopus Bar

On January 9, 2017 by Stephanie Brown

Today we are heartbroken.

Our beloved Chef Angus Brown of Octopus Bar has passed away far too young. Anyone lucky enough to enjoy a late night meal at Octopus knows that he was one of the reasons that East Atlanta Village is such a magical place.

Not only did he cook food that he loved, but he possessed such a fierce work ethic that he inspired and elevated those around him. He and his team proved that a Midtown or Buckhead address isn’t required to produce world-class dishes. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, co-workers, and business partner, Nhan Le.

Thank you, Angus, for your contributions to our little corner of the world—from your cuisine to your spirit. You will be forever missed.

Sincerely,

East Atlanta Community Association
