Join the Atlanta Humane Society and Attorney Claudine Wilkins as we talk about the laws that impact you as a pet owner. Wilkins led the legislation that resulted in the Responsible Dog Owner Act and the Animal Cruelty Bill. Learn what dangerous dog laws mean for you and your pet, what happens if you get bitten or your dog bites someone else, and the legalities of your dog being off leash in public areas.

Claudine Wilkins started her career as a prosecutor in 1997. Since 1996, she has assisted in hundreds of animal abuse cases. In 2009, she founded the Animal Law Section of the Georgia Bar, a mainstream section that offers resources to all Georgia attorneys. Her continuing efforts to draft and help pass legislation protecting children and animals resulted in the Georgia Dog Fighting law and the Animal Cruelty Bill.
