On the Greener Side - Trees Atlanta in East Atlanta, October 28, 2017

October 28, 2017

Today, Glenwood, between Blake and Clifton, boasts dozens of new crape myrtles; and Clifton, between May and Van Epps, has a new line of sweetbay magnolias. In all, on October 28th, EACA Parks and Greenspace Committee worked with Trees Atlanta's Neighborwoods program to plant 70 new trees in an area that boasted some of our grandest canopy before a legendary tornnado changed that almost 10 years ago. A special thanks to almost 40 community volunteers from Emory University, Georgia Tech, East Atlanta, and especially Trees Atlanta for greening the quality of life in our neighborhood.
