On Friday, November 17th, ANCS 6th graders cleaned litter from Ripplewater Creek in Brownwood Park and learned about watersheds and environmental stewardship.
Our goal of taking back the urban forest from the grip of non-native, invasive weeds came one-day closer to reality on Saturday, November 11th, when 12 volunteers form Trees Atlanta and EACA neighbors gathered in the forested south-side of Brownwood Park.

Atlanta Fulton Library System will feature art works by longtime Atlanta Public Schools Principal James Doanes. Most recently in retirement from the school system, Mr. Doanes had returned to assist both Peterson Elementary and Burgess Elementary in meeting student achievement goals and continued to consult with Burgess Peterson Academy
