On Friday, November 17th, ANCS 6th graders cleaned litter from Ripplewater Creek in Brownwood Park and learned about watersheds and environmental stewardship.
Our goal of taking back the urban forest from the grip of non-native, invasive weeds came one-day closer to reality on Saturday, November 11th, when 12 volunteers form Trees Atlanta and EACA neighbors gathered in the forested south-side of Brownwood Park.

Community Farmers Markets (CFM) will be hosting its inaugural Red Clay Soirée fundraising gala on Friday, November 10. This worthwhile fundraiser will not only go back into our farmers market, but also feature the Octopus Bar and honor the late East Atlanta chef Angus Brown of SoBa and Octopus Bar.

BATL’s August Civil War hike on Saturday, August 26th, will begin at the end of the Battle of Atlanta and move towards the beginning of the historic battle.
We are looking for any performers who are willing to donate their time to our event and raise funds for Neighbor in Need at our biggest fundraiser of the year! Fire breathers, fire spinners, flow artists, contortionists, strong man, dancing bear, fortune teller, tarot card reader, belly dancers, and more.

Atlanta Fulton Library System will feature art works by longtime Atlanta Public Schools Principal James Doanes. Most recently in retirement from the school system, Mr. Doanes had returned to assist both Peterson Elementary and Burgess Elementary in meeting student achievement goals and continued to consult with Burgess Peterson Academy
